Monday morning no calm at all for Abuja as angry Nigerians gather for front of GTBank head office, dey shout one loud message: “Free VeryDarkMan!”
Dem carry placards wey carry message like:
“Activism no be crime”
“VDM na voice of the people”
“Wetin VDM do sef?”
Martins Otse, wey everybody sabi as VeryDarkMan (VDM), na popular online activist and talk am as e be person. EFCC don arrest am again, this time say na cyberstalking, but people no gree!
Him lawyer Deji Adeyanju talk say dem ambush VDM inside GTBank, like say na action film. But GTBank no waste time, dem drop CCTV footage to clear their name.
For the video, VDM dey waka commot from banking hall go car park before EFCC carry am. But the actual arrest no show, because the camera no catch that angle.
As the matter dey hot, people still dey remember say:
For May 2024, EFCC drag VDM go Federal High Court say he dey harass police and Nollywood celebs (Iyabo Ojo and Tonto Dikeh).
He shout “I no do am!” and court bin lock am up till bail hearing.
Later for November 2024, another wahala land as dem talk say he dress like police without permission. Again, he deny the charges and court grant am ₦2 million bail.
